Another project in BGP’s leisure portfolio, Hartlepool Highlight is located at Jacksons Landing within Hartlepool Marina, a short distance from the National Royal Navy Museum. The new centre is intended to provide a modern space for health and fitness activities as well as wider community use.
BGP was responsible for all civil and structural engineering elements of the project. Our work included the design and detailing of the fully reinforced concrete tanks for the main pool, learner pool and splash pool, together with the associated balance tanks, sumps and back-of-house plant areas.
The project involved close coordination with the wider design team to integrate the specialist pool structures and supporting systems within the overall building design. The completed facility will provide a durable and practical asset for the marina and the local community.
