Richard has worked for BGP within the Civil Engineering department since 2013 and is a chartered engineer (CEng) with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). His project experience covers a variety of sectors and includes a number of high-profile education developments within Northumberland such as Darras Hall Primary, Morpeth First School and Ponteland Schools and Leisure.
His work includes the production of detailed engineering design information for road and drainage infrastructure for the various design stages and in order to obtain adoption via Local Authorities or Drainage Undertakers using his knowledge of design software packages that includes Microdrainage and AutoCAD Civils 3D.
He has vast experience in the preparation of documents for planning that includes flood risk assessments and drainage strategy reports in accordance with the latest statutory legislation and lead local flood authority (LLFA) requirements.
He was promoted to Associate Director in November 2021.
