Sam joined BGP in 2018 as an Apprentice Building Surveyor and was promoted to Building Surveyor in 2021. He completed a Bachelor’s degree in Building Surveying via the apprenticeship route in 2024.
He has experience in building pathology: the study of building defects, decay, and performance issues across a wide range of buildings, including domestic, commercial, and industrial properties. Sam has a strong personal interest in historic structures, particularly in the materials, construction techniques, and original functions, which complements his professional work.
His approach to surveying is methodical, well-researched, and holistic, consistently meeting and exceeding client expectations. Sam plans to sit for his MRICS chartership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2026.
