This new swimming pool facility, part of the wider Eston Leisure Centre, was completed 6 years after the previous pool has to close due to flooding of the subterranean plant room. BGP was responsible for all structural design and detailing of the steel framed structure and the many below ground water retaining concrete tanks associated with swimming pools. The facility provides a 6-lane 25 metre main pool with associated diving blocks ensuring the site can host competitions and galas. An 11x7m learner pool with sensory lighting will provide the perfect environment for the youngest of swimmers and is fully accessible with the equipment to ensure that is available for all.
